ATWS #54: Adam Lauver

Adam LauverAdam Lauver is an actor and a writer. His resume is filled with projects in both theater and film. From 2007 to 2009 Adam was part of the sketch comedy troupe Happy Time Explosion Show before relocating to Boston where he acted in his first feature film, Heavy Times. Later this month on April 27-29, Happy Time Explosion Show is back with a new show at the Ware Center in downtown Lancaster that is being produced by Creative Work of Lancaster. I caught up with Adam to learn more about Happy Time and his work both in Boston and here in Lancaster.
Play Grounds: Theater on SiteYou have less than a week to support Play Grounds, our next Wood Stove House public theater production, through our Kickstarter campaignPlay Grounds is a set of three short plays that will be performed at three outdoor sites in Lancaster City during Lancaster ArtWalk weekend on May 5 & 6. The performances are free and open to the public, but you can be a part of the show by financially supporting the many folks involved in making these plays a reality.  Click the Play Grounds Kickstarter banner at the top of the page. A huge thanks to everyone who has contributed so far and if you haven’t, please consider joining us in bringing locally written and produced theater to the streets of Lancaster. Broken Fences, a Pittsburgh duo featuring Guy Russo and Morgan Erina will be releasing their debut full-length album on June 1 at a release party at Club Cafe in Pittsburgh. The Fences were featured on Around the Wood Stove episode #30 back in May 2011. Visit their website for details about the new album or to check out their Broken Apartment video series, that’s a series live recordings they’ve been releasing on YouTube since February.
Our next Wood Stove House concert is scheduled for this Friday evening, April 20 with Athens, GA based band Hope For Agoldensummer. There are still a few seats left and you can reserve them right now here. For nearly 9 years Hope For Agoldensummer has traveled the USA creating rusty, angelic melodies with slide guitar, banjo, jangly percussion, glockenspiel, and a bowed handsaw, and sibling-soul-choir harmonies of sisters Claire & Page Campbell.
Around the Wood Stove is a production of the Wood Stove House and is hosted by Jason Mundok.
