ATWS Podcast #70: Room Service by Creative Works of Lancaster

Room Service from Creative Works of LancasterLydia Brubaker and Elliot Sterenfeld from Creative Works of Lancaster are part of the outdoor summer theater performance of Room Service, part of the Works in the Park theater series. The performances, directed by Lydia, will be held in Musser Park, in the heart of downtown Lancaster, on August 9, 10, 11 at 7pm. The shows are free and open to the public.

Lancaster Community Gardens
Lancaster Community Gardens is looking to raise a few bucks so they can drill a well at the Wheatland Middle School community garden project so the garden has a constant supply of water. The project at Wheatland currently covers 17,000 square feet, but they hope to expand it to several acres in the coming years. Water is critical! The well will cost between $3,000 to $4,000; $1,000 has been donated already.
Join them on Thursday August 9th at the Elks Club in downtown Lancaster for a great night of music and conversation. Admission is a mere $10. Additional donations encouraged but not required. This is an over-21 party only. Bar provided by the Elks. Please take a snack to share! Tickets and details can be found here.
Long’s Park Amphitheater Foundation
Each summer, the Long’s Park Amphitheater Foundation brings thirteen free concerts to Lancaster on Sunday evenings for thousands and thousands of fans. 2012 marks the 50th anniversary for both the amphitheater and the music series, and to celebrate the foundation is sponsoring a fundraising campaign called Put a Candle on the Cake. You can also link up with the concert series on Facebook and check out this blog post for a lively discussion about the Long’s Park Summer Concert Series and it’s relationship to the local Lancaster, PA music scene.
