Music Returns to the Hans Herr House

Sopa SolFor the third year in a row, the historic 1719 Hans Herr House Museum will be hosting a summer concert series called Music in the Orchard starting this Saturday evening, June 15 at 6:00 pm. The series features a diverse lineup of family friendly performances by local and regional musicians every other Saturday evening for the next ten weeks.

I’m honored to be performing at the first concert of this year’s series with the eclectic world-influenced folk band, Sopa Sol. The band consists of songwriter Daryl Snider (guitar, saxophone), songwriter Frances Miller (violin, hang drum) and percussionist David Armstrong. I will be playing bass and we all sing. The music is a mix of original songs and instrumentals influenced by musical styles from various cultures that we’ve studied over the years. Joining us for an opening set will be Pittsburgh singer-songwriter Christopher Mark Jones.
