Podcast #127: Kate Umble's OLD WOOD NEW SOUNDS and Skirtin' the Curtain

Kate UmbleKate Umble is not only a musician and teacher, she is also now a concert promoter and responsible for organizing a very interesting concert series called Old Wood New Sounds coming up this spring at Tellus360. The series runs on March 25, April 22, and May 19 and isn’t what you would typically find in Tellus’ comfortable pub atmosphere. Instead, classically trained musicians will be performing both classical and new music pieces (written by composers who are still alive).

Kate also performs with Spark Brass, a group of professional musicians and educators from across the United States who work with schools to share personal experiences about the profound positive impact of music in their lives.
