Podcast #87: Jaws to the World and…it's Mickel Time!

Jaws to the World, a Holiday Sock OperaCreative Works of Lancaster is a Lancaster non-profit with a mission to fuel and sustain Lancaster City’s cultural renaissance. Over the past few years, their focus has been primarily theater, producing free outdoor theater in Musser Park during the last two summers, and pushing the edges a bit with holiday shows like the 2010 Yule Laugh and 2011’s Christmas on Mars. Other past projects include a mobile art gallery on Lancaster First Fridays and partnering with Wood Stove House for Lancaster’s 24 Plays 2011.
One thing that has definitely set Creative Works apart has been a series of sock puppet shows written as parodies of major motion pictures. The latest and third in the series, Jaws to the World, a Holiday Sock Opera will be performed twice next Sunday, December 16 (6pm and 8pm) and then three times on December 30th (4pm, 6pm & 8pm) at Lancaster Dispensing Co. (DipCo) at 33-35 N. Market St., Lancaster. There will be a $5 cover charge at the door.
