Seasons Greetings to you all from the Wood Stove House! 2011 has been the year of change, and that will continue into 2012. We have many new and exciting projects on the horizon that will be keeping us very busy next year. We hope you will continue to help us promote and support creativity of all kinds.
We started the year producing our Around the Wood Stove podcast for a couple community radio stations near Philadelphia, and hosting Nashville songwriter, Buddy Mondlock for a Wood Stove House concert. We took advantage of Lancaster’s Launch Music Conference to interview several nationally touring artists for the podcast, such as Nashville’s The Winter Sounds and Pittsburgh’s Brooke Annibale.
Later in the year we teamed up with Tabor Community Services to host a four-show house concert series called Creative Homes for Creating Homes that was a big success raising $4,000 for Tabor’s Home Fund. In the fall, we teamed up with Creative Works of Lancaster and our good friend and official Wood Stove House partner, Steve Carlson, to produce Lancaster’s 24 Hour Plays.
And now we take some time this week to sit quietly for a few moments in stillness, to breathe deeply, and to prepare for the next leg of journey.
